Roman Cement cast mix for pouring into moulds — de-moulds in approximately 20 minuts

Roman Stucco Cast is a traditional fast setting mortar for mouldings cast on the bench. Made with traditional Roman Cement, Lime Green's casting mortar has great durability while weathering with a natural stone-like appearance. It can be used to create many masonry features, repair steps and sills or cast embellishments. You can pour Roman Stucco Cast into moulds to make realistic coping stones and man-made rock features.

Lime Green make their own Roman Stucco from burnt limestone and mineral sands, not resins and acrylics, you can achieve the subtle patinas and matt finishes for a natural look. Roman Stucco Cast is poured into a mould where it will quickly set without shrinking, recreating fine details and ornate 3-dimensional shapes. And because it is made from stone, it ages and weathers like stone. Enabling you to repair work with like for like detail.

Application Guide

Pour into a mould prepared with mould release oil, using vibration to remove air bubbles. On large pieces work green on green, do not pour more product on to a dried and set surface. Leave to set before demoulding. Initial set is temperature dependent, but normally within 15 to 20 minutes. De-moulding times vary depending on the shape and complexity of the mould. Shortly after the set begins Roman Stucco Cast will generate significant heat; very large pieces must be poured in a controlled manner to prevent over heating and cracking.

Prevent from drying out too rapidly, cover with hessian or mortar fleece if necessary. Protect from frost for at least 7 days after casting.
