Lafarge ANCESTHRAL NHL 5 is a 100% Natural Hydraulic Lime, (NHL 5 binder). It is made from specially chosen premium limestone which produces the highest quality lime. It is equally suited to new build construction and conservation work of old and historic buildings.
Its applications include pointing and laying stone, bricks and other masonry materials, Limecrete flooring as well as external rendering on masonry including in extremely exposed areas, such as chimneys, sea fronts, waterways or areas subject to regular extreme weather.
Suitable to be used as an external hydraulic Lime binder to make: Lime Mortar, Lime Render and Lime Plaster onto various substrates inc: Brick, Block, Stone, Flint and other types of hard masonry in high exposure.
An eminently hydraulic lime offering the breathability and flexibility desirable for the renovation of old buildings for use as exterior render and mortar for stable, durable hard masonry, grouting for tile or stone flooring, strengthening grout, roofing, flaunching & lime concrete (limecrete).

Application Guide
Lafarge ANCESTHRAL NHL 5 can be used in many applications:
Mortar & Render: Used for internal and external render (on old or new masonry) for base, float and finish coats, Laying & pointing hard stone and masonry.
Masonry: Mortar for laying stone & concrete blocks, Mortar for roofing and reinforcement grout by injection in old masonry and Bedding & grouting natural stone slabs.
Lime Concrete: Installation of lime concrete for non load-bearing floor slabs and screed.
